Southend Lofts launches sales, bringing 110 luxury condos to Hoboken with industrial charm

Sales have officially launched at Southend Lofts, a new luxury condominium development at 38 Jackson Street in Hoboken. The project, a visionary collection of 110 one- to five-bedroom homes, is quickly nearing completion, with initial occupancy anticipated this winter.

Developed by The Taurasi Group and marketed by Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing NJ, Southend Lofts reimagines a storied industrial property—once home to the Davis Baking Powder and My-T-Fine Pudding factory—into a dynamic residential hub.

Industrial heritage meets high-end design

Designed by Nastasi Architects, the development meticulously restored the five-story historic building while expanding it with newly constructed wings that rise up to nine stories, spanning a full city block. The architecture features a cohesive blend of industrial heritage and contemporary luxury, preserving elements like oversized factory windows, soaring ceilings up to 15 feet, and exposed columns.

Interiors by D&G Interiors + Design emphasize a loft-style character with modern sophistication. Residences boast vast interiors with virtually no two floorplans alike, and many include private balconies or terraces offering sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline. Custom Chef kitchens feature high-end finishes like Calacatta quartz countertops and Bosch stainless steel appliances.

“With Southend Lofts, we wanted to honor the building’s industrial legacy while creating residences that meet the needs of today’s buyers,” Gary Mezzatesta, managing partner of The Taurasi Group said. “Each home offers a sense of individuality… all within a full-service building that lets residents enjoy everything Hoboken has to offer while being just minutes from Manhattan.”

Residents will have exclusive access to over 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, highlighted by:

  • The Overlook: A sprawling eighth-floor rooftop terrace featuring a 40-foot swimming pool, green lawns, and dining and lounge areas with panoramic Manhattan skyline views.
  • A dramatic indoor public atrium, topped by a soaring translucent canopy, which will shelter a curated mix of onsite destination retail and dining.
  • A state-of-the-art fitness center, an open-air coworking lounge, a virtual suite with a multi-sport simulator, an epicurean children’s playroom, and a pet spa.

The location offers exceptional convenience, situated directly across from the new Southwest Resiliency Park and providing easy access to Manhattan via the PATH, Ferry, and major roadways.

Pricing for the 110 homes starts at $795,000 for one-bedrooms, rising to $3,700,000 for the four- and five-bedroom penthouse duplexes that crown the building.
