The 16th annual Cooper Red Hot Gala raised $4 million to support Cooper University Health Care’s continued expansion.
More than 1,000 guests gathered at TRIAD1828 on the Camden waterfront for the event, created by co-chairs George and Philip Norcross. During the gala, Cooper unveiled a video showing renderings of the new 10-story patient tower rising in Camden.
The tower is part of Project Imagine, Cooper’s $3 billion investment in its flagship Camden campus. It will expand Cooper’s inpatient, intensive care, operating room and procedural capacity, creating more space for highly specialized treatments, complex surgeries, clinical education and research.
“Project Imagine represents one of the most significant investments ever made in health care in South Jersey,” said Philip Norcross, chairman of the Cooper Foundation Board. “These new facilities will transform Cooper’s campus, but philanthropy will help bring them fully to life.”
The gala brings together community leaders, corporate partners, clinicians, and supporters Donations support new medical technology and treatment programs, research, education and expansion. Since its founding, the annual event has raised nearly $33 million.
