John Cicchelli has been named head of employee benefits practice at World Insurance.
The Iselin-based company sees Cicchelli leading strategic initiatives to grow market expansion and product development across North America.
World Retail President Tom Fitzgerald formally announced his hiring.
“John has an in-depth understanding of the employee benefits ecosystem that will serve him well in driving World’s next stage of growth across this sector,” he said. “He has a long and proven track record of exponentially increasing sales and market share, while also optimizing value and engagement for employers and their employees. We are thrilled to have him join the team.”
Cicchelli brings 30 years of experience to World, being responsible for building and growing employee benefits practices and teams. Most recently, he was at Gallagher as their NY/NJ Metro Growth Leader. His prior stop was at Marsh & McLennan Agency, where he overlooked the Northeast Region, while additionally tasked with building and executing the Marsh & McLennan employee health and benefits cross-sell priority.
