Zoetis Inc. on Tuesday announced the appointment of Stephanie Tilenius to its board of directors, effective Dec. 1. Tilenius brings extensive experience in digital health, artificial intelligence (AI), and the technology sector to the Parsippany-based animal health company’s board.
Tilenius is a serial entrepreneur who founded several health care companies, including Vida Health, Inc., a leading chronic care platform that she scaled nationally. She also recently founded a stealth company operating in the longevity AI space. Beyond her health care ventures, Tilenius held senior leadership roles at major technology firms, serving as Vice President of Global Commerce and Payments at Google and holding high-level positions at PayPal and eBay.
Kristin Peck, chief executive officer of Zoetis, highlighted how the appointment aligns with the company’s forward-looking strategy. “Her strategic thinking and expertise in digital health, AI and technology align with our vision to advance animal health through innovation,” Peck said. “Stephanie’s proven leadership and forward-thinking approach will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate our digital transformation and shape the future of animal health.”
Michael McCallister, Zoetis board chair, noted that Tilenius’s background will provide crucial guidance as Zoetis continues to lead in advancing animal health. “Her deep experience in digital health brings valuable perspective to our Board as Zoetis continues to lead in advancing animal health,” McCallister said.
Tilenius expressed her enthusiasm for joining the board at a “pivotal time” for the industry. “Zoetis’ commitment to innovation, digital transformation and using advanced technologies to improve animal care resonates deeply with my own passion for leveraging data and AI to create meaningful impact,” she stated.
In addition to her role at Zoetis, Tilenius currently serves on the board of Seagate Technology Holdings plc and is a Venture Advisor to the AI Fund. Her appointment will increase the size of the Zoetis Board of Directors from 12 to 13 members.
