Atlantic Health medical centers are leaders in New Jersey and across the nation when it comes to delivering high quality care and superior patient outcomes across numerous specialties according to the Healthgrades 2026 Report to the Nation, released Tuesday.
Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is the 2nd most recognized hospital in the country with 55 distinctions including America’s Best Hospitals for Specialty Care, Specialty Excellence Awards, Five-stars and No. 1 in New Jersey Rankings.
Morristown is also the only hospital in the country to receive all of the following recognitions: America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention Procedures, America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery and America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Joint Replacement Surgery.
Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is the only hospital in the country to receive the following: America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Care, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Surgery, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Pulmonary Care, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care, America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Critical Care and America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery.
Overlook also received five #1 State Rankings for 2026 which include: Gastrointestinal Surgery, Neurosciences, Pulmonary Care, Stroke Care and Surgical Care.
Each year, Healthgrades evaluates risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for over 30 common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide to identify the top hospitals in key specialty areas.
