Mission/Vision

The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center serves as a beacon of hope and agent of change, a place where opportunity meets potential. It partners with people to strive toward Camden’s transformation in body, soul and spirit. All are welcome and have a place there for community, worship and engagement. “Your Place, Your Potential, Your Possibilities.”

Key programs

  • Food assistance: More than 500,000 pounds of food were distributed to neighbors in need in 2024.
  • Swim lessons: Nearly 3,000 participants learned essential water safety and confidence-building skills for ages 6 months through adult, including summer campers and after-schoolers.
  • Sports & Recreation: More than 7,000 individuals joined leagues and fitness activities promoting teamwork and wellness.

Biggest event/fundraiser

The Red Kettle Campaign: A tradition since 1891, it continues to support families in need during the holidays and throughout the year. This year, the Salvation Army is proud to expand its reach through both in-person and virtual kettles, inviting everyone to #GiveWithJoy.

Supporters/donors

The organization is deeply grateful to the many individuals, organizations and community partners who make its mission possible, many of whom choose to give quietly but impactfully. It relies on individuals, corporations, foundations and other community stakeholders to create collective impact in the region.

One More Thing

The Camden Kroc Center just celebrated 11 years of transforming lives, serving as a beacon of light in Camden. However, Salvation Army ministry began in Camden in 1880!
