The aroma of fresh pastries is getting a lot stronger in South Jersey. Bridor, the global leader in premium European-style baked goods, announced a massive $200 million expansion of its manufacturing site in Vineland, effectively doubling the facility’s production capacity.
The announcement was celebrated on Wednesday during an event featuring Bridor North America CEO Eric Juillet de Saint Lager, global CEO Philippe Morin and Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci. The project is a cornerstone of Bridor’s multi-billion-dollar long-term strategy to “re-localize” production in the United States.
The expansion, which broke ground in late 2024, added a 51,000-square-foot building to the existing Vineland Industrial Park campus. Key features of the upgraded site include:
-
Viennese pastry line: A high-speed, automated production line for premium croissants and pastries that has been operational since mid-2025.
-
Modernized bread line: An automated system for artisanal breads, expected to go live in the second quarter of 2026.
-
Industrial innovation: A new Research & Development center, a “Culinary Academy,” and a state-of-the-art industrial refrigeration system.
For Bridor, which is part of the $4 billion Le Duff Group, South Jersey is a strategic gateway to the East Coast. By producing locally, the company can source ingredients from the region and deliver fresh products to hotels, restaurants, and retailers without the logistical hurdles of international shipping.
“Vineland plays a critical role in our growth today and well into the future,” Juillet de Saint Lager said. “We’re able to scale efficiently while preserving the craftsmanship and quality that define Bridor.”
Mayor Anthony Fanucci hailed the investment as a “meaningful win” for the city, noting that the expansion supports local jobs and cements Vineland’s reputation as a hub for high-quality food production.
The Vineland project is just one piece of Bridor’s aggressive 2026 roadmap. The company is currently building two other major sites:
-
A new production facility in the Greater Salt Lake City area.
-
A state-of-the-art industrial bakery in Lancaster, Texas.
With these additions, Bridor will operate a comprehensive network across New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and Quebec, ensuring that their “authentic French” products are never too far from an American oven.
