If you’re tired of the New Jersey chill, your escape to sunshine just got a lot cheaper. Starting Febr. 13, Allegiant is officially launching nonstop service from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) to two popular Florida hotspots—with prices starting as low as $39.
Travelers can now fly directly to Florida’s Gulf Coast without the hassle of a layover or the drive to Philadelphia. The two new destinations are:
-
Punta Gorda (PGD): Perfect for those looking to explore the peace and quiet of Southwest Florida.
-
St. Petersburg/Clearwater (PIE): Ideal for beach lovers or Phillies fans heading down for Spring Training.
Both routes will run up to twice a week, making them a great option for a quick weekend getaway or a longer vacation.
To celebrate the launch, Allegiant is offering one-way tickets for just $39. However, if you want to snag these deals, you’ll need to move fast:
| Destination | Must Book By | Travel Must Happen By |
| Punta Gorda | Feb 15, 2026 | May 8, 2026 |
| St. Pete/Clearwater | Feb 15, 2026 | May 22, 2026 |
“These routes make it easier than ever to head to Florida’s Gulf Coast,” Stephen Dougherty, executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority said. He noted that after the success of flights to Fort Lauderdale and Sanford, this expansion gives local travelers even more ways to “trade winter coats for sunshine.”
While the $39 fare is a steal, keep in mind that seats are limited and won’t be available on every single flight. These “unbundled” fares cover your seat and taxes, but things like baggage or specific seat selections may cost extra.
Allegiant also allows travelers to bundle their flights with hotels and rental cars on their website, which they claim can help vacationers save even more on the total trip cost.
