The Campbell’s Company on Thursday officially named Mohit Anand as executive vice president and president of its Snacks division. Effective Feb. 23, Anand will take the helm of a high-growth portfolio that includes some of the most recognizable names in the American pantry: Goldfish, Pepperidge Farm, Snyder’s of Hanover and Kettle Brand.
Anand succeeds Elizabeth Duggan and will report directly to CEO Mick Beekhuizen, joining the company’s operating committee as an executive officer.
A seasoned global executive with more than 30 years of experience at industry titans like Mars, Kellanova (formerly Kellogg’s), Unilever, and P&G, Anand joins Camden-based company at a pivotal moment as it maneuvers to dominate the North American snacking market.
The Snacks division has recently become a cornerstone of Campbell’s business strategy, accounting for nearly half of the company’s $10.3 billion in annual sales.
“With some of the best brands in the business, Campbell’s has the right to win in snacking,” Beekhuizen said. “Mohit has consistently increased sales, improved margins, and enhanced operational efficiency… His proven capabilities will help return our Snacks division to sustainable growth.”
Anand’s resume reflects a career spent scaling food and beverage brands across six continents. Key highlights of his background include:
- Mars Snacking/Kellanova: Most recently served as SVP & general manager in the Accelerator division of Mars Snacking following its acquisition of Kellanova.
- Kellogg’s: Led the snacks business across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as the frozen foods division in Chicago.
- Unilever: Managed water and beverage categories out of London.
- Procter & Gamble: Spent 15 years in various senior marketing and management roles throughout Asia.
Anand holds an engineering degree from Panjab Engineering College and an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in India.
Aspresident of Snacks, Anand is tasked with expanding the division’s margins and driving long-term volume growth. This involves leveraging Campbell’s “advantaged distribution network”—a massive supply chain that allows the company to reach virtually every grocery store in North America.
“I am excited to help drive change and deliver the growth we know our Snacks portfolio can achieve,” Anand said.
