Fifth phase of CENTURION Union surpasses 50% leased as first residents move in

The transformation of downtown Union has reached another major milestone. LANDMARK, the developer behind the ambitious Stuyvesant Avenue Redevelopment Project, announced today that occupancy is officially underway at the fifth residential phase of CENTURION Union Center.

The momentum for the new boutique building has been swift, with more than 50% of its 85 upscale rental residences already leased. The project has become a magnet for both local “empty-nesters” and commuters relocating from Newark and Jersey City who are seeking a blend of urban energy and suburban comfort.

The latest five-story addition marks a significant step toward the completion of the CENTURION master plan. To date, several phases have delivered 182 residences and 15,000 square feet of retail space to the district. Upon final completion, the development will boast:

  • Total Residences: Over 320 luxury units.
  • Retail Footprint: Approximately 27,000 square feet across five buildings.
  • Design Excellence: Architecture by Comito Associates, featuring condo-style finishes like quartz countertops, slate GE appliances, and wide wood-style plank flooring.

“The pace of leasing in this latest phase speaks to the community’s continued appeal,”  Manny Fernandez, founder of LANDMARK said. “With each new building, we’re seeing more residents drawn to the combination of thoughtfully designed homes and the energy of a downtown that continues to evolve.”

While the building maintains a boutique, personal feel, the amenity package rivals larger metropolitan developments. Residents in the newest phase enjoy:

  • Rooftop & Social: An expansive rooftop terrace and a resident lounge with a billiards table and demonstration kitchen.
  • Wellness & Family: A state-of-the-art fitness center and a dedicated children’s playroom.
  • Convenience: A lobby hospitality/coffee hub, concierge services, and a secure mail/package room.

New residents also gain access to the full suite of amenities across the entire multi-building CENTURION community.

The success of the residential phases is intrinsically linked to the revitalization of the Stuyvesant Avenue corridor. The area has become a pedestrian-friendly melting pot where longtime staples like Van Gogh’s Ear Café sit alongside new arrivals like Ayala Coffee, bbq.Chicken, and Pilates x 3.

The location offers a diverse “international food tour” within walking distance, featuring Thai, Japanese, Mexican, Colombian, Portuguese, and Filipino cuisines.

Residences in the current phase are priced starting in the mid-$2,000s for one-bedroom homes and the mid-$3,000s for two-bedroom floor plans. To celebrate the opening, the leasing team is offering limited-time incentives, including up to two months free on a 26-month lease.

For commuters, the development offers strategic access to Routes 78 and 22, the Garden State Parkway, and NJ Transit’s Union Station, which provides a direct link to Newark Penn Station. Express buses to New York City are also a short walk away on Morris Avenue.
