Whippany-based Students 2 Science (S2S), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that delivers immersive and transformative STEM programming, is launching a new STEM Summer Camp in July.
The camp at the S2S Apollo Technology Center in Whippany has two sessions based on students’ grades. It will feature the same real-world, hands-on STEM experiences that define S2S’s school-year programs.
Campers will conduct hands-on experiments during weeklong sessions designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Sessions are led by professional scientist instructors and experienced counselors.
For grades 3-5, campers will be introduced to a variety of STEM fields, delving into biology, ecology, forensics, physics, and environmental engineering. Each day, they will explore introductory concepts with hands-on, investigative experiments.
For grades 6-8, the curriculum is designed for those interested in AI and coding. Campers will do deep dives into the foundations of AI, coding, and programming logic to build their own interactive projects.
Camp fee for a weeklong session is $750, with aftercare options available at an additional cost. Scholarships are also available based on household income and need.
There is an “In for Innovation Camp Scholarship Fund” sponsored by S2S corporate partner Insmed.
In October, Students 2 Science (S2S), opened the Apollo Technology Center at One Apollo Drive in Whippany.
