Provident Bank announced the appointment of Anthony Petrazzuoli as senior vice president, deposit & payments operations director.
In his new role, Petrazzuoli will oversee the bank’s key deposit and payment operations, including deposit accounts, payment and item processing, reconciliation, ATM operations, and debit card systems. He will lead efforts to modernize and scale operational capabilities while enhancing regulatory compliance and customer experience.
“Anthony is a highly respected banking leader whose operational expertise, strategic perspective, and commitment to excellence make him an outstanding addition to Provident’s leadership team,” Ravi Vakacherla, executive vice president and chief information & operations officer at Provident Bank said. “His experience leading complex banking operations, driving process improvement, and building high-performing teams will be instrumental as we continue to enhance our operating model.”
Petrazzuoli brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to the role. He most recently served as executive vice president, retail market manager at M&T Bank, managing a $13 billion deposit portfolio across a 63-branch network in Connecticut. Prior to his time at M&T Bank, he held senior leadership positions at People’s United Bank.

Petrazzuoli holds an MBA from the University of Maryland University College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Charter Oak State College. He is also a graduate of the National Graduate School of Banking through the American Bankers Association and holds an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation.
