Devon Group Founder Jeanne Achille appointed to Rutgers Business School Center for Women in Business board

Jeanne Achille, founder and CEO of global technology public relations leader The Devon Group, has been appointed to the Board of Advisors for the Center for Women in Business (CWIB) at Rutgers Business School.

The CWIB operates as an alliance of academic and corporate thought leaders focused on driving equity and inclusion in the modern workplace. Through primary research and data-driven insights, the center develops targeted programs designed to retain and elevate women professionals, particularly mid-career talent who frequently encounter structural barriers to advancement.

Achille established Red Bank-based The Devon Group in 1994, growing it into a premier tech PR partner for organizations ranging from early-stage startups to multinational enterprises. Throughout her career, she has championed internal gender equity initiatives, implementing structured mentorship programs, flexible working models, and strategic career advancement pathways.

Lisa Kaplowitz, executive director of the CWIB and a professor of finance and economics at Rutgers Business School, emphasized the strategic alignment of the appointment. “We’re excited to welcome Jeanne to our impressive board of business leaders,” Kaplowitz said. “Her work in the HR field, as a communications professional and entrepreneur, and chair of a women’s conference, aligns with our mission to retain and elevate mid-career women in the workplace.”

The CWIB is widely recognized for its high-impact studies and research publications. Recent center initiatives have focused on re-framing caregivers as vital workplace assets and examining the shift toward entrepreneurship among ambitious professionals navigating corporate limitations.

“Bridging this opportunity divide needs to be a systematic initiative,” Achille noted following her appointment. “Building awareness of the barriers and providing research-backed programmatic solutions are key to success, and CWIB is integral to making that happen. I’m delighted to join the board at this pivotal time.”
