Stockton University is making higher education more accessible than ever by partnering with the student-planning platform Niche to offer instant admissions for high school seniors applying for the fall 2027 term.
With this rollout, Stockton becomes the only higher education institution in New Jersey to feature the Niche Direct Admissions program, aiming to eliminate traditional barriers and reduce the stress associated with applying to college.
Removing barriers to higher education
- Instant Decisions: Qualified high school seniors will receive immediate acceptance notices to Stockton based on the academic information provided in their Niche profiles.
- Upfront Transparency: In addition to admission status, students receive upfront scholarship information, helping families understand affordability early in the process.
- Expanding Access: The modernized approach specifically helps encourage first-generation, Pell Grant-eligible, and underrepresented students to pursue college by meeting them on a platform where one in two college-bound seniors maintains a profile.
Leadership perspectives
“At Stockton, we want the path to a college education to be as clear and accessible as possible,” Moses Goldmon, Stockton’s vice president for Enrollment Management said. “Niche Direct Admissions allows us to meet students where they are, remove some of the uncertainty and stress from the admissions process, and let qualified students know immediately that there is a place for them at Stockton.”
Luke Skurman, founder and CEO of Niche, emphasized how modern platforms are transforming the recruitment landscape. “Niche Direct Admissions provides admissions teams the tools to deliver the speed, transparency and personalization today’s students and families expect.”
While students can receive instant notification of their acceptance and scholarship awards directly through their Niche accounts, official enrollment requires submitting transcripts to verify profile data, followed by an enrollment deposit.
Prospective students and families looking to experience the campus firsthand can also register for Stockton’s upcoming Fall Open House scheduled for Oct. 17 which will feature major exploration sessions, financial aid info, and guided campus tours.
