The Wayne D. Zitt Jr. Civic Association has received a $10,000 donation from Kearny Bank, presented through the KearnyBank Foundation, to support the establishment of a new community food pantry.
The funds will directly finance the start-up of the Guttenberg Food Pantry Initiative, which is designed to provide essential food assistance to local residents experiencing hardship.
The contribution was formally presented by Jack Anastasi, Kearny Bank’s Senior Vice President and Director of Government and Vertical Banking, to Guttenberg Mayor Wayne D. Zitt Jr.
Once operational, the new food pantry will serve as a vital resource for individuals and families in need throughout the community.
Community members or businesses wishing to provide financial support or make a donation to the new food pantry initiative can contact the organization directly at 201-458-3481.
