Logistics real estate giant Prologis has announced a major leadership transition that hits close to home for the Garden State, elevating former New Jersey-New York market leader Sheila Sutton to senior vice president and head of development management for the U.S. East Region.
Sutton steps into the regional post following the promotion of Travis Harvey, who has advanced to Global Head of Development after 11 years with the company, succeeding the retiring Greg Bauer.
In her new role, Sutton will oversee development, construction, and strategic logistics projects spanning a massive corridor from Toronto down to Miami.
Prior to her promotion, Sutton served as vice president and development officer managing new construction and warehouse development specifically across the New York and New Jersey markets. She originally joined Prologis during its major 2022 acquisition of Duke Realty, where she had managed construction operations and build-to-suit industrial projects throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
“Prologis has established a track record in the East Region for delivering innovative, high-quality logistics projects in some of the most important hubs in the global supply chain, from Toronto down to Miami,” Sutton said. “I’m excited to build on that momentum with our teams, customers and local partners as we continue to deliver projects that support local economies and communities.”
Sutton’s predecessor, Travis Harvey—who previously led the U.S. East Region before stepping into the global role—will now direct Prologis’ overarching development and construction platform across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Harvey brings over 20 years of industry experience to the global post.
