Sutudu.TV, the Jersey City-based film distributor, will present at the inaugural TIFF: The Market, Sept. 10–16, in Toronto, in an effort to increase its global presence.
Sutudu.TV launched publicly in January, during the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. It has since generated more than 15.7 million views across its social media network. Its growing catalog spans licensed films, documentaries, series and short-form programming.
At TIFF, the company will use its exhibitor presence to meet with content suppliers, rights holders, sales companies, filmmakers and distribution partners as it expands its global content-acquisition and distribution operations.
Sutudu.TV is seeking completed films, documentaries, scripted and unscripted series, vertical series, culturally specific programming, and catalogs for potential licensing and distribution across its growing ecosystem.
“We did not build Sutudu to become another place where a filmmaker uploads a movie and waits,” Founder and CEO Khoa Le said. “We built it to connect distribution with audience development, marketing, community, and new revenue opportunities.
“Sutudu.TV gives us a digital home, while Sutudu Cinemas allows us to begin building theatrical pathways with exhibitors and distribution partners. The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is where we want to meet the people ready to build that next phase with us.”

Sutudu’s mission began in 2021 after Le, a filmmaker and Producers Guild of America member whose work has been distributed through Netflix, Prime Video, and Peacock, experienced the limitations of traditional independent film distribution firsthand.
The name “Sutudu” comes from the Vietnamese phrase “Sự Tự Do,” meaning “freedom.” Through every pivot, the mission has remained focused on giving creators and rights holders greater control, stronger discovery, and more sustainable ways to generate value from their work.
Today, Sutudu is focused on two connected distribution pathways: Sutudu.TV as its digital streaming and creator platform, and Sutudu Cinemas as its developing theatrical distribution initiative.
Through Sutudu.TV, content partners can explore TVOD, SVOD, AVOD, audience analytics, social-first marketing, brand partnerships, and secondary distribution opportunities.
Through Sutudu Cinemas, the company is developing theatrical distribution models for select films, including targeted, event-driven, and market-specific releases built in collaboration with exhibitors and experienced distribution partners.
The objective is to connect theatrical exhibition, social-first audience development, brand participation, and downstream availability on Sutudu.TV as part of a coordinated release strategy. Depending on the title, projects may be considered for Sutudu.TV, Sutudu Cinemas, secondary distribution, or a combination of those pathways.
As the company grows, Sutudu also plans to develop Sutudu Originals as a future content initiative encompassing films, series, vertical storytelling, and creator-led intellectual property. The initiative will be developed selectively with creators and partners whose projects align with Sutudu’s audience, mission, and distribution capabilities.
