PKF O’Connor Davies, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and advisory practices, announced this week that Daniel Pannone has joined the firm as managing director in its Transaction Advisory Services practice.
Pannone, a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner, will work out of the firm’s Cranford office.
Pannone spent more than 16 years in public accounting and consulting before the move, building a specialty in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, forensic accounting, and dispute advisory and litigation support. His client list has included founder-led businesses, private equity firms and legal counsel across technology, construction, manufacturing, professional services and consumer products. He’s also handled post-acquisition disputes tied to net working capital and earn-outs, along with helping prepare indemnification claims.
Michael Curtiss, a partner at PKF O’Connor Davies, said Pannone’s background made him a natural fit for a growing practice.
“Daniel’s extensive transaction advisory experience and forensic accounting expertise make him an excellent addition to our team,” Curtiss said. “His experience across buy-side and sell-side due diligence, litigation support and forensic accounting position him to deliver outstanding value to our clients as we continue to expand our Transaction Advisory Services practice.”
Before joining PKF O’Connor Davies, Pannone spent nearly four years as managing director at Armanino, where he led business development and oversaw financial due diligence and post-acquisition dispute work. Before that, he was a principal at Friedman LLP for four years, handling dispute advisory and litigation support. Earlier in his career, he worked as a manager at StoneTurn and spent more than seven years at Deloitte, focused on forensic accounting and assurance services.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from The College of New Jersey and is a CPA licensed in New York.
