BINJE is proud to mark Hispanic Heritage Month with the announcement of BINJE’s Best Top Hispanic Business Leaders, a statewide recognition of more than 100 exceptional executives, founders, civic leaders and innovators shaping New Jersey’s economic future. They represent every sector of the business community — from health care and higher education to construction, finance, retail, logistics, technology and the arts — reflecting the breadth and depth of Hispanic leadership across the state.
It is a Hispanic business community that is far greater than many realize. Consider these findings from the 2026 LDC U.S. Latino Economic Impact Report, produced by the Latino Donor Collaborative with the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University:
- Latinos generated 28.2% of all U.S. economic growth in 2024 — while making up about 20% of the population.
- Latinos are creating employer businesses at more than 2.5 times the national rate.
- Latino household consumption exceeds $2.8 trillion — the third-largest consumer cohort in the world.
- If U.S. Latinos were an independent economy, at $4.4 trillion, they would rank as the fourth-largest globally.
These national numbers underscore the scale and momentum of Hispanic economic power — and they mirror what we see in New Jersey. The state’s Hispanic population now exceeds 2.2 million residents, about 23.5% of the state’s population, and accounts for a rapidly growing share of business formation.
Latino entrepreneurs are driving growth in every corner of the state, from Newark and Paterson to Elizabeth, Jersey City, Union City and beyond. Their impact is felt not only in traditional small-business sectors but increasingly in corporate leadership, higher education, health systems, infrastructure and statewide policy.
The leaders recognized in this year’s BINJE list reflect that evolution: a community that is not only contributing to New Jersey’s economy, but shaping its direction.
BINJE, in conjunction with the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey and the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute at Seton Hall University, will honor this year’s class at a breakfast event on Nov. 10 at Seton Hall University. The celebration will bring together business leaders, policymakers, educators and community advocates to highlight the achievements of New Jersey’s Hispanic business community — and to recognize the extraordinary individuals driving it forward.
