Affinity Federal Credit Union volunteers assemble nearly 4,900 sandwiches during 5th Annual Impact Day

Affinity Federal Credit Union recently brought together more than 370 volunteers at its Basking Ridge headquarters for its fifth annual Impact Day, producing just under 4,900 sandwiches to combat local food insecurity.

The massive volunteer effort supported 16 faith-based organizations, shelters, and food pantries spanning northern New Jersey—reaching communities from Hillsborough east to East Orange and north to Ridgewood. To ensure the donations directly reached families and individuals most in need, Affinity partnered with the non-profit organization Food to Table to coordinate distribution.

“Impact Day reflects our core mission of helping people and being deeply ingrained in the communities we serve,” noted credit union leadership.
