Weinstein + Klein, a Morristown-based boutique law firm dedicated to labor and employment law, corporate and transactional law, and litigation, said that effective Aug. 11 Laura Garcia will be elevated to partner.
Garcia joined the firm in 2021 as an associate in the Corporate & Transactional Group and has since emerged as a standout business attorney. In this new role, Garcia will spearhead the firm’s active mergers and acquisitions practice and continue to provide outside general counsel and business advisory services to the firm’s business clients.
“Watching Laura grow into this leadership role has been one of the privileges of my career. Her analytical brilliance, work ethic, and compassion have made this promotion not only well-deserved but inevitable,” Damien Weinstein, founding partner said.
“Laura is everything we hope for in a member of our team. This promotion should come as no surprise to anyone who has spent even the tiniest bit of time with her. Her integrity, intellect, and mindset showcase the values of our firm, and more generally, how to be a good human,” Brian Klein, founding partner said.
Garcia joined Weinstein + Klein as an Associate in 2021 to provide outsourced general counsel and corporate advisory services. She began her legal career as a Law Clerk in the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court and later worked with two prominent local law firms where she honed her skills as an expert in corporate advisory services.
Garcia received a B.A. in criminal justice from Monmouth University and her J.D. from Rutgers Law School. She is dedicated to public service and regularly supports local community initiatives and organizations, including the Children’s Center of Monmouth County, Monmouth County Long-Term Recovery Group, and the Manna House for Women.
