Subscription-based dental care company Wally opens first New Jersey studio in Jersey City

Wally, a subscription-based dental care company, has officially opened its first New Jersey location in downtown Jersey City. The new studio is located inside the Industrious Newport workspace and brings a new model of preventive, affordable dental care to the area.

For a flat annual membership fee, Wally members receive unlimited dental cleanings, whitening, and preventive checkups without the need for traditional dental insurance, co-pays, or hidden fees.

According to co-founder and CEO Tyler Burnett, the company’s approach is designed to be proactive rather than reactive.

“Traditional dentistry waits for problems and then drills, fills, and bills,” Burnett said. “At Wally, we believe regular preventive care should be convenient and accessible to stop cavities and dental problems before they occur.”

The company’s model has already seen success in New York City, where its more than 25,000 members average three to four cleanings per year. Wally’s target audience includes gig workers, freelancers, and others who may lack traditional employer-based dental insurance.

The new Jersey City studio is designed to enhance the client experience, allowing members to use the amenities of the Industrious workspace before and after their appointments. Wally already has over 500 members scheduled for appointments at the new location, with plans to expand to other areas in New Jersey and across the country.
