Anthony Talarico, a seasoned trial attorney and former chief assistant Prosecutor in Bergen County, has joined the law firm Archer & Greiner as a partner. Talarico will be a key member of the firm’s Corporate Compliance, Investigations & Criminal Defense Practice Group, bringing over a decade of experience handling high-profile, high-stakes criminal and civil matters.
Based in Archer’s Hackensack office, Talarico will focus on internal investigations, regulatory compliance, white-collar criminal defense, and complex civil litigation. His practice is uniquely positioned to offer clients a strategic advantage, drawing on his years of experience leading major investigations and prosecutions at the county and state levels.
“We’re excited to welcome Anthony to Archer, where his unique perspective will benefit clients in both civil and criminal matters,” Christopher Gibson, Archer’s president, said. “Anthony’s ability to dissect complex legal and factual issues, lead sophisticated investigations, and navigate both the courtroom and the boardroom makes him an invaluable asset to our clients.”
During his tenure with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Talarico served as Chief of the Major Crimes Unit, where he oversaw the investigation and prosecution of all homicides, fatal accidents, and suspicious deaths. He also led a team of attorneys and detectives in cases that involved advanced investigative techniques and collaboration with federal and state agencies.
Talarico expressed his enthusiasm for his new role. “After years in public service, I’m excited to bring that experience to a team that takes a thoughtful, strategic approach to complex legal problems,” he said.
Prior to leading the Major Crimes Unit, Talarico held several senior roles within the Prosecutor’s Office, including leading the Narcotics Task Force and serving as the chief legal advisor to the North Jersey Regional Cold Case Task Force. His experience includes successfully trying numerous jury trials and arguing appeals before the Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court.
