The Alfred N. Sanzari Family Foundation announced that the deadline for its fall grant application period is Aug. 31. The foundation, which supports communities throughout northern New Jersey, is urging local nonprofits to submit their applications for grants of up to $10,000.
Since its establishment in 2006 to honor the legacy of its founder, Alfred N. Sanzari, the foundation has donated more than $2 million to a wide range of organizations. It operates on two grant cycles per year.
According to Lisa Britt, a member of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, the grants reflect the Sanzari family’s core values. The foundation prioritizes health care initiatives, particularly those focused on patient care and Parkinson’s disease, as well as local education programs and services for disadvantaged populations, including shelters, housing, and programs for women and children in need.
Britt emphasized the foundation’s commitment to continuing its founder’s legacy of service. “We look forward to continuing to support local nonprofits whose work strengthens our communities, and ensuring our grandfather’s legacy of service continues for generations to come,” she said.
