CSG Law launches new legal and professional malpractice defense team

Roseland-based Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) has announced the launch of its new Legal & Professional Malpractice Defense Team. The team will represent attorneys, law firms, and other professionals, including accountants and architects, in a variety of matters across New Jersey, New York, and nationwide.

The new team, led by Ronald Israel, the firm’s general counsel, will handle allegations of malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and other wrongful conduct in both federal and state courts, as well as before disciplinary review boards. According to Israel, the creation of the team “underscores our dedication to protecting our clients’ interests” and provides “experienced counsel to help defend and protect firms.”

A key aspect of the new team’s approach is cross-collaboration with other CSG Law practice groups to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each case. Managing Member Marie Mathews stated that the team “exemplifies this client-first approach through its depth of experience and its ability to cross collaborate with the firm’s other practice groups.”

In addition to defensive counsel, the team will also assist clients with proactive measures, such as establishing procedures to prevent potential missteps and providing presentations on legal malpractice updates and loss prevention techniques. The firm also offers ethics counsel and written ethics opinions to law firms and companies.
