Richest in New Jersey? It’s Overdeck, Commisso, Kellogg and Venturo, according to Forbes

It’s that time of the year again.

No, not the leaves turning. That’s kind of cool.

This is the annual reminder that the Forbes’ list of the 400 richest Americans is out. And you’re not on it.

Unless, of course, you are one of these four (with their overall ranking) and (estimated net worth) included:

  • No. 172: John Overdeck ($8 billion): He is the cofounder of Two Sigma, a quantitative investing powerhouse with $60 billion in assets under management;
  • No. 270: Rocco Commisso ($5.6 billion): He is the founder and CEO of cable company Mediacom, based in Chester, New York. And he owns ACT Fiorentina in Italy. Then again, he lives in Bergen County – and owns the Cosmos.
  • No. 298: Peter Kellogg ($5.1 billion): He sold brokerage house Spear, Leeds & Kellogg to Goldman Sachs for $6.5 billion in cash and stock in 2000.
  • No. 352: Brian Venturo ($4.2 billion): He is cofounder and chief strategy officer of cloud computing company CoreWeave, of which he owns approximately 7% – which means that $4.2 billion may be yesterday’s number.

Because you’re wondering: Elon Musk is No. 1, followed by Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos and Larry Page.

It’s good to be in tech.
