Allegiant Air to launch nonstop Atlantic City-to-Myrtle Beach route with $49 fares

In a move set to delight South Jersey golfers and beachgoers alike, Allegiant Air on Tuesday announced that it will begin nonstop service between Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) and Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) starting May 21.

To celebrate the launch of what local officials are calling the “most requested destination” in the airport’s history, the airline is offering introductory one-way fares for as low as $49.

The new summer route will bridge two of the East Coast’s most iconic vacation hubs. While Atlantic City is famous for its casinos and historic boardwalk, Myrtle Beach offers travelers access to 60 miles of pristine coastline and over 90 championship golf courses.

“For our passengers, this opens the door to a classic getaway with attractions like the SkyWheel and a destination known as the Golf Capital of the World,” Stephen Dougherty, executive director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority said. “It means more easy, affordable access to one of the East Coast’s most popular vacation spots.”

The Myrtle Beach announcement comes on the heels of a massive growth spurt for Allegiant in Atlantic City. Just last week, the carrier launched new service to Punta Gorda and St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida, adding to its existing year-round flights to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.

New Route Snapshot:

  • Service Begins: May 21, 2026
  • Frequency: Twice-weekly service (typically Thursday/Sunday)
  • Introductory Fare: $49 one-way*
  • Flight Duration: Approximately 90 minutes

Travelers looking to snag the $49 rate need to act fast. According to Allegiant, tickets at this price point must be purchased by Feb. 18, 2026, for travel through November 2026.

Things to Keep in Mind:

  • Limited Availability: Seats and dates are restricted; the $49 fare is not available on all flights.
  • Baggage Fees: As an ultra-low-cost carrier, Allegiant charges additional fees for carry-on and checked bags.
  • Seamless Travel: Allegiant exclusively operates nonstop flights, meaning no stressful layovers in Charlotte or Atlanta.

Tickets for the new Myrtle Beach route are on sale now at Allegiant.com.
