Archer & Greiner P.C. this week said it launched its new Political Law & Compliance Practice Group. Archer said the move will help clients — from corporations to nonprofits and political action committees — navigate the increasingly complicated rules and regulations of government and elections.
The firm has tapped partners Jason Sena and David Weinstein to co-chair the new group. Both bring a wealth of experience in state and local government relations, making them well-suited to lead the charge.
“This new practice group reflects Archer’s continued commitment to staying ahead of our clients’ needs,” Archer president Christopher Gibson said. He emphasized that the group will provide “high-level, strategic counsel” for anyone involved in the political process.
The timing couldn’t be better. With growing scrutiny on everything from campaign finance to lobbying and “pay-to-play” restrictions, clients need to be more careful than ever. Jason Sena highlighted this point, noting that the group is a “natural evolution” of the firm’s work at the intersection of law and public policy. “Clients need forward-thinking, practical guidance to stay compliant and achieve their goals,” he said.
Weinstein added that the team’s strength lies in its ability to understand both the legal complexities and the practical realities of political engagement. This “real-world counsel,” he says, will help clients “mitigate risk while navigating campaigns, elections, lobbying, and government processes.”
The new group will offer a full suite of services, tackling everything from campaign finance and ethics requirements to government contracting and investigations at all levels of government. It’s a strategic move for Archer, positioning the firm to be a go-to resource for clients who need to play by the rules in today’s demanding political environment.
