Gould, a veteran political strategist, joins MAD Global

Matt Gould, a veteran of political and government affairs in New Jersey, has joined MAD Global Strategy as a senior vice president, the company announced Monday.

Gould, who most recently served as campaign manager for Jon Bramnick’s recent run for governor, will help expand the firm’s government relations team. He will be based in New Jersey.

Gould’s experience is plentiful. He also recently worked for the New Jersey Assembly Republicans for eight years, serving in various roles including public affairs director, senior legislative adviser, deputy budget director and policy adviser.

MAD Global Founder and CEO Mike DuHaime obviously was thrilled to make the announcement.

“I’ve known Matt for many years, and he is a top-notch professional,” he said. “From running statewide campaigns to serving as one of the top staffers in the Assembly Minority office, Matt is incredibly well-respected, hardworking, and loyal. I have no doubt he’ll add value to our communications and government relations teams and help our clients succeed.”

Partner Laura Matos agreed.

“As a bipartisan firm, MAD Global has an unmatched understanding of government at every level,” she said. “Matt is a great addition to our team, and I know his national, state, and local experience will help us deliver meaningful results for our clients.”

Partner Justin Braz was equally enthusiastic.

Having served at high levels in government on the campaign trail, he brings the insight and drive to help our clients succeed from Day One,” he said. “Matt’s addition further builds upon our bi-partisan, solutions-oriented approach to get tangible results for our clients at all levels of government.”

Gould previously served as executive director for the New Jersey Assembly Republican Victory for four campaign cycles. He also served as legislative director to Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande, campaign manager for a congressional campaign in Maryland, and deputy campaign manager for New Jersey’s 12th Legislative District Assemblymembers Declan O’Scanlan and Caroline Casagrande.

More than that, Gould currently serves as a board member of the Stafford Township Little League, where he supports youth sports and community engagement (and surely knows a bit about reaching consensus among bickering sides).
