Masih elevated to partner at Capital Impact Group

Highly regarded lobbyist joins small but distinguished group of women to become partners at a N.J. contract lobbying firm

In recognition of her longstanding dedication and exceptional service to the firm and the community, Capital Impact Group has promoted Sabeen Masih to partner, the firm announced Monday.

Masih joins a small but distinguished group of women who have become partners at a N.J. contract lobbying firms, of whom only a small cohort are minority women, making her promotion a significant step forward in professional representation and generational leadership.

She’s certainly earned it.

After interning at CIG while in graduate school, Masih joined the firm in 2015 and quickly made a name for herself.

Her policy expertise, strategic guidance and tenacious advocacy have delivered proven results for CIG clients, allowing her to climb to the position of senior vice president of public affairs.

Masih’s work for the firm is only one part of her excellence. She is passionate about supporting the next generation of thought leaders and policymakers.

Masih serves as a mentor for the Rider Women’s Leadership Council, and a mentor for Rutgers, Rowan and TCNJ. She co-founded the growing Asian Women of Trenton Networking Group and was appointed by Gov. Phil Murphy to serve as a member of the New Jersey Asian American and Pacific Islander Commission.

Most recently, Mercer County Executive Dan Benson named Sabeen to the Mercer County Parks Commission.

“Sabeen’s dedication to CIG and public service have helped shape the culture and success of our firm,” CIG Founding Principals Gene Mulroy and Gerry Gibbs said in a joint statement. “Her promotion is well-earned.

“More than a decade ago we welcomed Sabeen as a student intern, and now we are honored to welcome her as our partner.”
