The New Jersey Association of Community Providers (NJACP) announced Elizabeth (Libby) Vinson as chief executive officer. Vinson succeeds Valerie Sellers who has retired.
“This feels like a full-circle moment,” Vinson said. “I have had the privilege of working with NJACP through efforts like the Coalition for a DSP Living Wage and the NJ Legislative Disability Caucus – experiences that deepened my commitment to the field. Now, in this role, I’m grateful for the opportunity to dive deeper into this meaningful work: lifting the voices of individuals with disabilities, their families, and the dedicated community-based providers who support them. I recognize the challenges facing the field and am committed to meeting this moment by listening, learning and leading, all with compassion and collaboration.”
Vinson has more than 20 years of experience in association management, government affairs, public relations and communications.
Previously, she served as senior vice president at Association Business Solutions (ABS), a full-service association management company where she managed and directed the firm’s advocacy arm, representing a diverse range of clients.
“In helping establish the Legislative Disability Caucus, Libby demonstrated her innovative approach in bringing together lawmakers and disability advocates to manage the caucus and advance its policy agenda,” Lisa Kubisiak, president of NJACP’s Board of Directors and Executive Director of ResCare New Jersey said. “This approach to advocacy is a hallmark of Libby’s work, where she has consistently led broad coalitions to secure budget funding and achieve legislative victories across multiple policy campaigns. We are thrilled she will be utilizing these skills on behalf of the NJACP and our members,” Kubisiak added.
Prior to her tenure at ABS, Vinson worked as a consultant for the John J. Heldrich School for Workforce Development at Rutgers University and with the New Jersey Business & Industry Association (NJBIA), the nation’s largest statewide employer association.
The New Jersey Association of Community Providers (NJACP) represents a dynamic community of diverse providers dedicated to advancing sustainable community-based services and supports that enrich lives and build futures for people with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities across the state.
