But, media reports are indicating that Brazil will use the newly completed Red Bulls training facility in Morris Township – and will stay at the Ridge Hotel in Basking Ridge.
If so, it’s a big win for Morris Township as well as RWJBarnabas Health, which recently announced it has purchased the naming rights to the training center, now called the RWJBarnabas Health Red Bulls Performance Center.
The facility certainly is state of the art, on par for one of the premier nations in the tournament, as the complex has first-class outdoor fields, fitness and recovery facilities, and support infrastructure tailored to elite players.
Officials based in New Jersey connected to all aspects of the World Cup would not confirm reports, saying it is not their story to tell.
The site, 2026soccercities.com, said the Brazilian Football Confederation has confirmed the location will be the team’s home base.
According to the site, Brazil selected the site for its privacy, modern amenities, and strategic location — close enough to the Meadowlands where several group-stage matches will be played, but far enough from the bustle of host cities to maintain a focused training environment.
