The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick was ranked as the No. 2 children’s hospital in the state of New Jersey in the U.S. News rankings that were released Tuesday morning.
The BMS Children’s Hospital was ranked No. 16 in the Mid-Atlantic region, which stretches from New York to Viriginia.
In addition, the BMS Children’s Hospital was ranked in Top 50 nationally in one specialty area: Pediatric Urology (No. 48).
“Being recognized in Pediatric Urology for the third year in a row is a milestone that reflects the strength and consistency of our pediatric programs,” Dr. Fernando Ferrer, a pediatric urologic surgeon and the chief pediatric officer for RWJBarnabas Health, said.
“This achievement is the result of extraordinary collaboration across our system, ensuring that families in New Jersey have access to the same level of care as the nation’s leading children’s hospitals.”
Hackensack Meridian Health’s Sanzari & Hovnanian Children’s Hospitals (which were considered as one entity) were ranked No. 1 in New Jersey.
