The Family Success Institute, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping
families succeed and thrive, has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation to support strategies for family success.
FSI aims to bring together parents, advocates, community members and professionals
to elevate family voices and improve systems that support family success.
The two-year grant will support FSI’s local initiatives by expanding outreach and
education efforts and strengthening partnerships with residents, service and faith-based
organizations, nonprofit and for-profit businesses, and government agencies.
Funding will also support the continued growth of FSI’s Learning Community — a
network of local leaders and advocates who meet to share information, experiences and
inspiration and form positive strategies for collective impact, regional advocacy training
and regional community forums.
The grant builds upon the foundation’s initial investment in 2021. FSI Executive Director
Tim Carden said the impact of the grant will be huge.
“This funding allows us to deepen our relationships with residents and organizations
statewide and to ensure that experiences and perspectives of New Jersey families
inform policies and practices that affect their well-being,” he said.
