Sanofi caps all its insulins at $35 per month for every American patient

Sanofi US on Friday announced a major expansion of its patient affordability initiative, ensuring that no American with a valid prescription will have to pay more than $35 per month for a 30-day supply of any Sanofi insulin.

The expansion of the company’s Insulins Valyou Savings Program removes previous insurance restrictions, making the $35 cap available to all patients across the U.S., regardless of their insurance status, including those with commercial insurance and those covered by Medicare. The new, universal pricing will take effect on Jan. 1, 2026.

The initiative covers any combination, type, and quantity of Sanofi insulins for the fixed monthly price, a move the company says is designed to simplify access and eliminate financial barriers for the millions of Americans living with diabetes.

“No one should struggle to afford their insulin and we are proud to take this next step as we play our part to keep America healthy,” Adam Gluck, head of U.S. Corporate Affairs, Sanofi said. “By expanding our Insulins Valyou Savings Program, we’re taking concrete action to address a critical healthcare issue for millions of Americans living with diabetes.”

The company emphasized that financial barriers often lead to the dangerous practice of rationing or skipping doses.

Olivier Bogillot, head of General Medicines, North America, Sanofi, noted, “Diabetes management requires consistent access to medication, and financial barriers can lead to rationing or skipping doses, which can have serious health consequences.”

The program is designed to work seamlessly at most pharmacies across the U.S., including independent and rural pharmacies. Patients will be able to enroll via the Sanofi Patient Connection website or by phone starting next year.

This expansion builds on Sanofi’s existing commitment to affordability and affordability, aligning with broader policy discussions aimed at lowering out-of-pocket costs for critical medicines.
