Bedminster-based Peapack-Gladstone Financial Corporation and Peapack Private Bank & Trust have announced the appointment of Leonard Carraturo as senior managing director, commercial private banker.
In his new role, Carraturo joins Peapack Private’s commercial banking division to deliver tailored lending and banking solutions. He will work directly with clients to support business growth, acquisitions, capital investments, and treasury management needs through the bank’s high-touch, relationship-driven approach.
Carraturo brings over 20 years of commercial banking and financial services experience to Peapack Private. His background spans several specialized financial sectors, including:
- Middle-Market Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Lending
- Sponsor Finance & Private Equity
- Healthcare Finance
- Asset-Based Lending & Revolving Credit Facilities
- Treasury & Client Relationship Management

Before joining Peapack Private, Carraturo served as vice president and Commercial Banking Relationship manager at Metropolitan Commercial Bank in New York City. There, he managed relationships for middle-market firms, private equity-backed businesses, family offices, and healthcare organizations, while helping build out the bank’s sponsor finance platform.
His career also includes key roles at major financial institutions:
- Webster Bank: Vice President, Business Development Officer for Asset-Based Lending, focusing on private equity sponsors and middle-market growth across manufacturing, distribution, and health care.
- Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Moody’s Investors Service, and Bear Stearns: Early career roles in credit analysis, underwriting, and commercial lending.
Carraturo holds a Bachelor’s degree from Iona College. His addition underscores Peapack Private’s ongoing commitment to expanding its middle-market reach and delivering boutique, high-level advisory services across the region.
