Reinforcing its ongoing dedication to local economic vitality, Iselin-based Provident Bank on Wednesday announced a total of $50,000 in grant funding distributed across six regional nonprofit organizations.
The awards are made possible through the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) Small Business Recovery Grant (SBRG) Program. Designed to assist member institutions in supporting community pillars, the SBRG program provides targeted financial relief to small businesses, farms, and non-profits navigating economic hurdles such as shifting interest rate environments, inflation, supply-chain constraints, and rising energy costs.
Grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 were awarded to local organizations to help stabilize and expand their critical community services:
- LISC NJ — $10,000
- New Life Community Development Corporation — $10,000
- Rising Tide Capital — $10,000
- SAFE in Hunterdon — $10,000
- Bloom Empower — $5,000
- Mercer County Community College Foundation — $5,000
“Our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York continues to create opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve,” Leonardo Ramos, first vice president and CRA Officer at Provident Bank said. “These recovery grants provide valuable resources that help local nonprofit organizations expand their impact, strengthen their operations, and continue delivering critical services to individuals and families.”
