Job seekers looking to enter or advance within public service will soon have a major opportunity to connect directly with hiring managers. The New Jersey Civil Service Commission has announced it will host a large-scale Statewide Career Resource Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Mercer County Community College.
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the college’s West Windsor Campus Conference Center (1200 Old Trenton Road), the “Day of Opportunity” aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and state and local government agencies.
The event is designed to accommodate all experience levels—from high school and college graduates to experienced professionals, career changers, skilled tradespeople, and technical experts. Attendees will have access to a robust lineup of features, including:
- Live candidate screening and Q&A sessions with hiring professionals
- Typing certification assessments on-site
- Recruitment tables hosted by numerous State and local agencies
- Information sessions and resource panels
Recruiting agencies will span a vast array of high-demand fields, such as administrative and office support, information technology, healthcare and human services, engineering, construction and environmental roles, public safety, legal positions, accounting, finance, and the skilled trades.
