Urban pet parents in Jersey City will soon have a flexible new option for their four-legged family members. Dogdrop, the innovative, membership-based dog daycare brand that pioneered the quick-stop model, has officially signed a lease to open its very first New Jersey location at RXR’s Hudson House Collection in the rapidly growing SoHo West neighborhood.

Slated to open in Fall 2026, the new facility will bring Dogdrop’s signature flexible pet care concept to the 829-unit mixed-use residential community located near the Jersey City-Hoboken border.
Founded in Los Angeles, Dogdrop was built to fit the realities of urban lifestyles. Eschewing traditional appointment-only models and warehouse-style facilities, the brand utilizes a flexible, membership-driven framework where pet parents pay strictly for the time they use—ranging from a single hour between work meetings to a full day of socialization.
Rather than standard mass supervision, Dogdrop’s smaller-format, climate-controlled facilities feature structured daily enrichment, agility exercises, brain games, and dedicated play areas separated by dogs’ energy levels and temperaments.
“At Hudson House, we’re curating a complementary mix of retailers that enhances everyday life for our residents while contributing to the continued evolution of the SoHo West neighborhood,” Whitney Arcaro, chief revenue officer at RXR, said. “Bringing in a nationally recognized pet care brand like Dogdrop was a natural fit. Its exceptional operating standards and convenience-driven model offer a level of familiarity and trust that resonates with today’s urban residents.”

Dogdrop will occupy a portion of the approximately 48,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space at Hudson House, joining an expanding roster of neighborhood-serving markets, dining, beauty, and childcare concepts.
The Jersey City location will be locally owned and operated by franchisee Jonathan Allen, and will feature rigorously trained staff certified in pet CPR, first aid, and canine behavior. Every participating dog must complete a complimentary “Good Fit Test” prior to joining group play to ensure a safe, secure environment.
With existing locations spanning across California, Texas, Colorado, Florida, and Delaware, Dogdrop’s arrival in Jersey City marks its official entry into the New Jersey market.
