Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity has officially opened the application window for two new affordable homeownership opportunities along Deptford Avenue in Woodbury.
Local income-qualified families have through Oct. 31 to submit applications for the properties, located at 331 and 335 Deptford Avenue. Currently under construction, the homes represent the latest step in Habitat’s mission to expand stable, long-term housing access across South Jersey.
Income guidelines and household criteria
The nonprofit developer has outlined specific household size and income parameters for each under-construction residence:
- 331 Deptford Avenue (Two-Bedroom Residence): Designed for two- to three-person households.
- Two-person households: Annual income between $49,100 and $78,550.
- Three-person households: Annual income between $55,250 and $88,350.
- 335 Deptford Avenue (Three-Bedroom Residence): Tailored for larger families.

Habitat leadership highlighted the initiative as a vital resource for South Jersey workforce members seeking long-term stability amidst rising regional housing costs. The program serves a broad spectrum of local workers, including educators, healthcare workers, first responders, municipal employees, and skilled tradespeople.
“Homeownership remains one of the most powerful tools for building stability and creating opportunities for families,” Megan Varrell, executive director of Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity said. “These homes will provide local families with an affordable pathway to homeownership while strengthening neighborhoods and helping residents remain in the communities they call home.”
Selected buyers will participate in Habitat’s comprehensive homeownership curriculum, which includes financial literacy training, homeowner education, and hands-on partnership hours to ensure long-term stability and success.
