A massive, long-vacant industrial relic in Union County is continuing its remarkable second act. The Metz Industrial Group (MIG) of Bussel Realty Corp. has successfully arranged a 29,225-square-foot lease at 900 North Avenue in Plainfield, bringing the popular indoor family entertainment destination Slick City Action Park to the property.
Known for its high-energy air courts, massive indoor slides, and active recreation attractions, Slick City marks the second major sports and entertainment operator to claim space at ECA Developers’ newly redeveloped, 114,355-square-foot multi-tenant facility.
The transaction highlights a surging trend across Northern and Central New Jersey: the adaptive reuse of older industrial properties into vibrant experiential and wellness hubs.
Back in 2025, ECA Developers completed a dramatic transformation of the site, turning what was once an obsolete and condemned century-old factory into a state-of-the-art, Class A small-bay flex facility. The property secured its initial major milestone that same year when indoor pickleball powerhouse PickleRage signed a 10-year lease for 42,722 square feet.
The addition of Slick City Action Park further validates ownership’s vision for the site, according to Jordan Metz, principal of Bussel Realty Corp., who led the leasing team alongside Senior Associate Benito Abbate and Sales Associate James Friel. Slick City was represented by Reece Rucker of Morrow Hill.
“Following the momentum created by the PickleRage lease, we are pleased to welcome Slick City Action Park to 900 North Avenue,” Metz said. “This transaction further validates the vision for the property and demonstrates strong demand from recreation, wellness and entertainment operators seeking modern, highly accessible space in Northern and Central New Jersey.”
Strategically positioned in Plainfield to serve a dense regional population with close proximity to major Union County transit corridors, 900 North Avenue offers unique perks that are hard to find in the traditional market—including brand-new construction quality, flexible layouts, expansive on-site parking, and even an available liquor license for tenants.
With Slick City and PickleRage now on board, remaining availabilities at the property range from 9,500 square feet to 48,000 square feet, welcoming a continued mix of recreation, wellness, showroom, and light industrial users.
