Resource Realty of Northern NJ (RRNNJ) has officially announced the addition of Rylie Lake as its newest sales associate, a move that is already yielding significant results for the Morris County-based commercial real estate brokerage. Since joining the firm late last year, Lake has hit the ground running, closing a series of notable transactions that include four recent leases totaling over 23,000 square feet.
Lake’s early success highlights both his rapid career trajectory and RRNNJ’s expanding regional footprint in the competitive tri-state market.
A strong start across diverse sectors
Demonstrating a sharp capability for managing complex, multi-tiered assignments, Lake has quickly built momentum with several key transactions across Northern New Jersey:
- Plainfield: Represented an apparel distributor in securing a 15,000-square-foot warehouse sublease.
- Newark: Acted as the sole broker—representing both the landlord and tenant—for a 4,000-square-foot lease at 119-121 S. 15th St., which will serve as the new facility for the community non-profit, The Woodworking Co-Op.
- Paterson: Secured 4,000 square feet of industrial space at 239 6th Ave. for a rapidly growing wall panel distributor, A Bright Development.
- Rockaway: Diversified into the office sector by representing a local wellness studio in a new lease transaction.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rylie to our team,” said Tom Consiglio, founding principal of RRNNJ. “Rylie’s successes in Northern NJ underscore his deep local market knowledge and a unique ability to seamlessly represent diverse client needs, from non-profit community spaces to industrial distributors.”
From fly-fishing to commercial real estate
Lake entered the commercial real estate sector in early 2022, building a reputation for a client-centric, results-driven approach. While licensed in New Jersey and New York, his expertise has already allowed him to facilitate transactions for clients in competitive markets as far as Florida and Delaware.
Interestingly, Lake’s foundation for high-level client service stems from an unconventional background. Throughout college, he worked as a licensed fly-fishing guide across the rivers of New York and Pennsylvania—an experience he credits with developing the intense patience, sharp communication, and service-oriented mindset required to navigate complex corporate real estate negotiations.
His academic background is equally distinguished. Lake graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science in General Business, where he also received the prestigious Academic Award from the school of business.
“Joining Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey provides an incredible platform to continue learning, scale my business and deliver tailored, strategic real estate decisions for my clients,” Lake said. “My focus remains on paying meticulous attention to the details, providing personalized client service and driving optimal outcomes.”
