National Park Foundation receives $1.6M boost from Subaru 

The National Park Foundation (NPF) announced that the 2025 Subaru Share the Love® Event has culminated in a $1.6 million donation to support the United States’ vast network of protected lands. The contribution from Camden-based Subaru of America, Inc. and its retailers will provide critical funding to preserve and protect more than 430 national parks nationwide.

This latest gift marks the 13th consecutive year that the NPF has served as a national charity partner for the automaker’s signature year-end event. Since the partnership began in 2013, Subaru has donated more than $85 million to the NPF, solidifying its position as the foundation’s largest corporate partner.

The donation was fueled by a nationwide initiative held during the 2025 holiday season. For every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased at participating retailers, the automaker and its dealers donated a minimum of $300 to a selection of charities, including the NPF.

The $1.6 million total reflects a significant consumer preference for environmental stewardship, as thousands of new Subaru owners chose to direct their “Share the Love” credits toward the protection of wildlife, parklands, and historical sites.

The funds arrive at a vital time for the National Park System, which manages everything from the rugged peaks of Denali to the historical monuments of the East Coast. The NPF utilizes these corporate donations to:

  • Protect Wildlife: Funding habitats and conservation research.
  • Preserve History: Maintaining the cultural sites that tell the American story.
  • Engage Youth: Supporting educational programs that bring the next generation into the outdoors.

“The amount donated to NPF reflects how people everywhere connect through the shared joy of experiencing the outdoors together,” the NPF stated in a release, noting that these contributions help create lasting memories for the millions of visitors who flock to the parks annually.

Now in its 18th year, the Subaru Share the Love® Event has become a benchmark for corporate philanthropy in the automotive industry. By integrating charitable giving directly into the point of sale, Subaru has created a sustainable pipeline of funding for environmental and social causes.
