Sixteen hospitals in New Jersey recently were named to Newsweek’s 2025 list of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals.
Hospitals included in the Newsweek list were selected based on publicly available quality metrics, patient surveys and input from health care professionals with expertise in maternity care.
The recognition, awarded in partnership with Statista Inc., highlights hospitals that excel in clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and peer recommendations across maternity services.
Six facilities were honored with five ribbons; ten facilities earned four ribbons.
Valerie French, senior director of nursing for maternal/child health at Englewood Health said the organization was honored to be named to the list for the fourth consecutive year.
Englewood joined Cooperman Barnabas, Monmouth Medical Center, Morristown Medical Center, Saint Peter’s University Hospital and Voorhees Virtua Hospital as five-ribbon selections.
“This honor reflects the commitment of our clinical teams to deliver safe, high-quality care for mothers and newborns — from prenatal services through delivery and postpartum support,” she said. “Consistency in recognition like this reinforces the value of our patient-centered model.”
