Mount Laurel’s On Location expands leadership to drive growth in branded environments

On Location (OLI), a nationwide leader in labor and management for exhibits and events, announced two high-profile hires this week to spearhead a strategic expansion into “branded environments.” The Mount Laurel-based firm has appointed Jason Cornatzer as account executive and John Thompson to the newly created role of sales & growth – branded environments.

The expansion signals a shift for OLI as it moves beyond traditional trade show floors to dominate the installation of permanent and semi-permanent brand spaces, including retail stores, corporate headquarters, and immersive museum exhibits.

Cornatzer joins the team with more than 25 years of experience. Having spent significant time on both the client side—managing corporate event programs—and the service side, Cornatzer brings a unique perspective to OLI’s South Jersey headquarters.

“Jason understands what clients need because he’s been in their seat,” Dave Brown, director of sales and marketing at On Location said. “He prioritizes relationships over transactions—a mindset that aligns seamlessly with our customer-centric approach.”

While OLI is a powerhouse in the trade show “Installation & Dismantle” (I&D) sector, the appointment of Thompson marks a major investment in non-trade show verticals. With over 40 years of sales and strategic experience, Thompson will lead the “Branded Environments” segment, focusing on:

  • Retail spaces: Flagship stores and boutique rollouts.

  • Corporate & hospitality: Lobby installations, office environments, and hotel branding.

  • Experiential venues: Museums, stadiums, and immersive pop-up activations.

Though the role is new, the work is not. OLI has a long history of delivering high-impact projects for global giants such as Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Dyson, and The Estée Lauder Companies.

“We’re ready to tell that story more broadly and significantly expand this segment of our business,” Michael Mulry, president of On Location said.

The company’s nationwide network of skilled laborers and project managers is already positioned to support this growth. Operations Manager Brandon Gery noted that the additions of Cornatzer and Thompson are “ideal to advance our reach” as the company eyes record growth in 2026.
