Want to give an internship to a New Jersey college student? Want the state to help support the initiative with a grant?
If that’s the case, there is good news. Applications are still being accepted for the NJ Career Accelerator Internship Grant Program. But you better act fast. The window to participate in one of the signature initiatives from the office of the Secretary of Higher Education ends Friday.
The program aims to align higher education with labor market needs, building pathways into high-demand industries, and advancing equity in experiential learning.
The New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has allocated funding to support the NJ Career Accelerator Internship Grant for FY26.
This grant program will provide funding to New Jersey employers who are interested in hosting New Jersey college students, including those who currently attend or graduated from an in-state college or university in the last 12 months or are New Jersey residents attending a college out of state for Summer 2026 (June through August).
The grant program aims to foster mutually beneficial relationships between New Jersey’s college students and New Jersey-based employers.
