Kathleen Ehling has joined Porzio Compliance Services as an assistant vice president of educational services – and will serve an of counsel at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman to support education law-related matters, the firm announced Wednesday.
Ehling, a nationally respected education compliance leader with over two decades of experience in federal, state and special education support services, will bolster the growing PorzioCS team, partnering with school districts, education agencies and grant-funded programs to meet compliance obligations efficiently, the firm said.
The addition of Ehling to the team highlights an increased focus on talent growth at PorzioCS in the education industry; Christina Van Woert joined the team in April 2025 as senior education specialist. (Porzio recently had a brand refresh and moved to a new office Parsippany, too.)
Prior to joining Porzio, Ehling served for more than two decades at the N.J. Department of Education, most recently as assistant commissioner for the Division of Educational Services.

Ehling holds a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law–Camden, a Master of Arts in Teaching from The College of New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware.
