As the demand for GLP-1 weight management medications continues to soar, ShopRite is stepping in to help patients navigate the crucial intersection of medicine and nutrition. The supermarket giant on Monday announced the launch of its Wellness Your Way Starter Kits, a free, limited-time offering for customers filling their first GLP-1 prescription.
The initiative, available at ShopRite Pharmacies starting this week, aims to provide immediate support to individuals beginning therapies such as Ozempic, Wegovy, or Zepbound, which often require significant dietary adjustments to be most effective.
GLP-1 medications work by mimicking hormones that affect appetite and digestion. Consequently, maintaining proper protein intake and hydration becomes essential for patients. ShopRite’s new kits are designed to address these specific needs from “day one.”
