Basking Ridge-based IVI RMA North America announced a partnership with UNC Fertility, a leading provider of fertility treatment and care in North Carolina.
The expansion is to accommodate increasing demand from the state’s growing population, the company said in a release.
The partnership brings new opportunities for education programs, joint research, and collaboration on the UNC Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) fellowship.
That program prepares a diverse cohort of physicians to become leaders in reproductive endocrinology and infertility services (egg freezing, IVF, etc.) in what it describes as a “niche” discipline.
RMA Global offers reproductive medicine services across 15 countries with more than 200 locations. UNC Health retains full ownership of UNC Fertility (based in Raleigh), where it serves the 2.4 million people in the Triangle, along with others in the region. It has hired several new providers and is looking to open additional locations throughout the state.
IVI RMA brings valuable experience from its existing partnership with fellowship programs at Thomas Jefferson University and the Harvard University School of Medicine.
In August, IVI RMA North America was recognized as the first patient safety organization dedicated exclusively to reproductive medicine by the Institute for Safety in Reproductive Medicine.
