Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) is gearing up for a historic celebration. On March 26, the college will host its 10th Annual “Giving Day,” a 24-hour online fundraising blitz that could push the event’s all-time impact past a major seven-figure milestone.
If the RVCC Foundation successfully raises $200,000 during this year’s campaign, the annual event will have officially generated $1 million in total donations since its inception a decade ago.
To help reach this ambitious goal, three generous benefactors—Jim and Jill Gibson, Don and Penny Pray, and The Caruso Family Foundation—have teamed up to offer a $75,000 match challenge.
If the community can raise $75,000 on March 26, these donors will contribute an additional $75,000 to the total. This “dollar-for-dollar” incentive provides a massive boost to the college’s efforts to support students and campus programs.
Beyond the total dollar amount, the RVCC Foundation is aiming for high-level participation, seeking at least 50 individuals or organizations to contribute $1,000 or more.
Donors can direct their gifts to specific areas of interest, including:
- Student Support: The Food Pantry and Student Resource Center.
- Academic Excellence: The Honors College and the Pray Family Center for Service Learning.
- Growth & Careers: The Workforce Training Center and various athletic teams.
- Scholarships: Direct financial aid for deserving students.
“This is an important milestone year,” Mike Marion, executive director of the RVCC Foundation said. “Giving Day provides an opportunity for the greater community to really demonstrate its support of, and belief in, this exceptional institution.”
